I am an artist based in Singapore whose primary media include video and oil. Many of my artworks evolve around the interrelations between urban life and our identities. Our identities are fluid and malleable, and we often are trapped in complex relationships between ourselves and various locations. Having visited and lived in various cities, I find that the influences our environment have on ourselves are interesting as it is so subtle that we barely notice it. I think of my creative works as an attempt to unravel our emotions regarding our habitats and a reflection on metropolitan lifestyles. I often utilize a lot of geometric shapes and mainly cite collage art as one of my main influences.
