Ava Jekel is a high school junior born and raised in the heart of Texas. Her forever-long passion for writing is why she spends entire afternoons intensely typing her next short story or poem about angsty teens. When she’s not writing, Ava attends her local martial arts dojo, where she has trained for more than six years and holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. She has far too many hobbies, but some of her favorites are studying French and Spanish, listening to music of any genre, and going on pensive car rides.
