Emanne Khan is a 17-year-old from the desolate woods of New Hampshire. She is a Genre Editor for Polyphony Lit and a member of the Class of 2019 at The Derryfield School. Her love of all things written was sparked in kindergarten, when she penned a short story about a hyena going for a walk and getting a sunburn. Since then, she hasn't looked back, filling many a notebook with the spawn of her fanciful imagination.

She first learned about Polyphony Lit in summer 2017, when she was searching for places to publish her work; struck by the unique intimacy between the staff and the submitting authors, she started out as a First Reader in August 2017 (here's to one year with Polyphony!).

At school, she is involved in numerous extracurriculars, including the school literary magazine, giving tours for admissions, and teaching middle schoolers. When she isn't writing, editing for Polyphony, running around school, or pouring over mountains of homework, she can be found re-reading Harry Potter for the zillionth time, reminiscing over the finest moments in The Office, listening to Beyonce, exploring the world of chocolate, watching historical documentaries on YouTube, and explaining to people that yes, her first and last name do rhyme.
