Carrie has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has a work background in commercial real estate and lending.  Over the past ten years, she has held a variety of volunteer leadership positions at the Latin School of Chicago and volunteered with The Children's Service Board of Lurie Children's Hospital before that.  She is a life-long lover of reading and has been a member of a monthly book club for the past four years.  She lives in Chicago with her husband and high school age son and has a daughter in college.  Both of her children have loved being a part of Polyphony. 

 

Favorite book in high school:  The Good Earth which was so beautifully written and so different than anything I had ever read before.
